Y9 Invasion games focus on recapping skills from previous years and applying them in mini-full-sided games, being strategic and tactical. We have been looking at the term 'specificity' and how fitness applies to different invasion contexts and in set play, formations and positional play.
Y10 Invasion games – students focusing on game play and taking leadership roles of umpiring and refereeing in lessons. Students reflected on their performance, focusing on strengths and areas for improvement.
Fitness – methods of training and how to improve fitness.
Y11 – Options students had a say in what they were doing in lessons. We treat this time in PE for Year 11 as a place to get rid of excess energy, feel well and healthy in the run-up to mocks – with flexible groups, students can work with their peers. Engagement is high, with students enjoying their learning and steering more into specific pathways of interest for recreational purposes.
